Infested! Pests can cause a disaster too

There's a series on animal planet called "Infested" that shows families driven to financial ruin and even homelessness by pests. We aren't talking a small pest problem, some of the pests covered include bed bugs, rats, scorpions and poisonous spiders. These pests, disturbed from their natural habitats by human development, can drive a family to financial ruin and INSANITY. Some of the pest nightmares shown on animal planet shows include...

In the southwest, a family with a young child was driven out of their home by bark scorpions, who evaded all chemical attempts to kill them, everything they did just made it worse. Bark scorpions are the most poisonous scorpion species in north america and can kill a small child. When the wife got stung, and was fortunate enough to only come out of it with minor injuries, they moved. Their bark scorpion infestation did not respond to pesticides.

In the pacific northwest, a woman was driven out of her home by thousands of poisonous hobo spiders, while the exterminator said that cutting down the trees on her property would reduce the amount of hobo spiders that infested her home, the landlord refused to allow it, believing her just to be hysterical and the spider problem to only be one or two insects.

A single mother who was poor had to make an appeal on the TV news for help when her home was overrun by enormous rats and one of them bit her on the foot. In the end, they had to leave the home to the rats. Even though the exterminator came out for free. ...
